I founded The Wellness Box Foundation after gaining insight into the harsh realities that homeless women endure while managing their menstrual cycles. My motivation is rooted in the belief that every individual, regardless of their circumstances, deserves to maintain their dignity, health, and well-being. I want to create a meaningful and lasting impact on the lives of homeless women, offering them not just essential products but also a sense of empowerment, dignity, and hope for a better future.

I have one mission. It is to end period poverty. Half of our population menstruates and so many struggle to afford period supplies. When I saw the need for feminine products at local shelters, it motivated me to help make a change in our community. Please help us work towards a common goal. Promote menstrual equity and end period poverty!

I want to volunteer at The Wellness Box Foundation because I deeply believe in the importance of menstrual equity and access to period products as a basic human right. No one should have to miss school, work, or daily life simply because they don’t have access to menstrual care. I admire how your organization tackles this issue head-on through education, outreach, and tangible support like wellness boxes. I’m passionate about breaking the stigma around menstruation and want to contribute my time and energy to a cause that empowers individuals and uplifts communities. Volunteering with The Wellness Box Foundation would allow me to make a real impact while supporting a mission I truly care about.

I'm interested in the process to give women and young women the ability to take care of themselves without having to pay out of pocket. Hygiene products shouldn't be as expensive as it is at local stores.

When I first heard that lacking access to menstrual products is a leading cause for girls skipping school, I knew that this was wrong. Period poverty can be found in our very own neighborhoods, but it’s often stained with shame and embarrassment. By spreading awareness, initiating conversation, and increasing access to feminine hygiene products, we can reduce the stigma surrounding menstruation and relieve the burden of searching for pads and tampons

Hey, my name is Laila Parker, I am a freshman in high school. When I first heard of this cause I was intrigued and beyond inspired. I believe that hygiene resources are a right and I love the idea of being part of this to help every woman feel comfortable, clean, and supported. I hope to help be a step in the right direction for this worldwide health conflict. Overall I’m overjoyed to be a part of this team and wish to see a tremendous change in menstrual equality.

When I found out about The Wellness Box Foundation, I was amazed that this is an under discussed topic. I understand the necessities that a young woman requires during that time of the month. Learning what young women use as a substitute to tampons and pads shocked me tremendously. I realize that I’m fortunate to have trustworthy products that are readily available to me. I love this cause, enjoy filling the hygienic kits and can’t wait to help more young women in Henderson and all around the world

As an active pursuer of STEM, I believe that the overall inclusivity of women in the field and beyond is still a major work in progress in today’s society. I believe the first step to increase inclusivity is to guarantee the same living standards as men. My goal in this program is to make sure women receive necessary hygienic resources to feel more comfortable and to have a better opportunity to find future successes in their lives.

Living in California, large amounts of homelessness and poverty is very evident. Although, an issue that is commonly overlooked is the lack of feminine hygiene products in these areas. I am eager to bring awareness to this problem, as I believe all people are entitled the right to basic hygiene necessities. I am honored to contribute to the impactful cause of ending period poverty surrounded by amazing people.

I am an avid volunteer at soup kitchens, food pantries, Habitat for Humanity projects, and homeless shelters. Recently when I was fundraising and procuring supplies (toiletries, t-shirts, and flip flops) for a homeless program organized by local churches, I started to receive requests for feminine products. I realized there was a real need for these products and the demand exceeded the available supply. I discovered how period poverty needs to be addressed. Feminine products are expensive and not often donated which resulted in my colloboration with The Wellness Box Foundation

As someone aspiring to be in the healthcare field, my goal is provide equal access to healthcare for individuals of all backgrounds. Through my experiences in the healthcare field, I have been exposed to systemic disparities, particularly the lack of access to essentials such as feminine hygiene products for women. Such inequities highlight a profound societal issue where no one should compromise their health to meet other basic needs. Addressing these challenges through the Wellness Box Foundation is my approach to promoting a more inclusive system.

I would love to be a part of this organization because I believe every woman deserves access to basic hygiene and self-care products, no matter her situation. These boxes can help boost confidence, health, and dignity. Being part of this organization means making a real difference in someone’s life and I would love to contribute to making an impact on my community.

I joined the Wellness Box Foundation because I was drawn to its mission of ending period poverty and providing feminine products to local women's shelters. So many women today lack access to the basic products they need for menstrual care. This initiative has allowed me to contribute directly to a cause I care about—ensuring that every woman, no matter her situation, has access to the menstrual products she needs.

After reviewing the mission and past activities of The Wellness Box Foundation, I realized that this is not a topic that's often discussed, and it’s a very respectable initiative. I’m fully supportive of contributing to such causes, which is why I saw it as a great opportunity to volunteer here.

I believe that access to menstrual products is a basic human right, not a privilege. Many people still struggle to afford or access them, and I want to contribute to making a real difference in their lives. From my own experience in Lithuania, I had never even seen a menstrual product box, and to be honest, I only found out about them not long ago.. This made me realize how much awareness and support is still needed, and it motivates me to take action and be part of the change.

As a person who has witnessed and grew up around families from a low income household I understand how difficult it can be to access certain necessities and needs. I would love to help out my community and even make a bigger impact by volunteering with this organization.

I was deeply impressed by your work combating menstrual poverty and the associated stigma. I currently lead a social food redistribution project in Mossoró, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil. Through this work, I've seen firsthand how the lack of essential resources directly impacts people's lives, limiting their access to healthcare and education. I believe that the fight for food security and menstrual safety are two fronts in the same battle for dignity and well-being.

I want to be a part of The Wellness Box Foundation because I care about making sure people have access to basic needs that are often overlooked. Period poverty is such a prominent issue, and it affects people’s health, education, and confidence. What I like about your organization is that you are not only providing menstrual products but also raising awareness and breaking the stigma around these conversations. Volunteering here would give me the chance to actually do something about a problem I care about, while also helping me use my leadership and communication skills to bring more people into the movement.
